AAM is gaining momentum in Australia and as this evolving sector of the autonomous industry continues to develop, we are learning more about how AAM will have a transformative impact on regional and urban air mobility especially in medical, defence and emergency management applications.

The AAM Summit, to be held on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 June at RotorTech 2024, will look at the challenges faced by the industry and what is needed to make AAM a viable mode of transport in Australia while exploring the following themes:

  • Identifying and mapping a network of local, national, and regional industry capabilities
  • Developing an AAM ecosystem in Australia
  • Showcasing technology and innovation
  • Emerging AAM applications – benefits, viability and social acceptance
  • Environmental benefits of transition to electric aviation
  • Development of a local AAM sector (skills, jobs R&D, advanced manufacturing)
  • Improving supply chain efficiency, capability and resilience
  • Stimulation of new regional market opportunities and regional development
  • AAM supporting emerging technology to reinvigorate regional aviation
  • Future infrastructure requirements to enable AAM
  • Policy and regulatory development
  • Identify AAM industry needs and challenges.

The Summit will include presentations from key personnel in the AAM space as well as interactive discussion panels giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions of our panelists.
