The biennial Rotortech Conference and Exposition is the premier industry event for the helicopter and rotary wing community in Australia, New Zealand and the region.
Hosted by the Australian Helicopter Industry Association Limited, ROTORTECH 2020 will provide a vital interface between industry, regulators and government over three days, 16-18 June 2020, at the Royal International Convention Centre, Brisbane Showgrounds, Queensland.
The three-day ROTORTECH conference will include operations and safety presentations, manufacturer’s technical workshops and an industry exposition showcasing the products and services of more than 100 helicopter related companies.
Reflecting the rise of Remote Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS, or UAVs) in several helicopter-related markets, ROTORTECH 2020 will also include unmanned aerial vehicles and coverage of the opportunities and challenges they provide for helicopter operators.
ROTORTECH 2018 was an unprecedented success, attracting 996 attendees and 80 exhibitors for an exposition including three days of conferences with 30 speakers across some 22 sessions on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
The conference covered major themes from aerial firefighting to new Civil Aviation Safety Authority performance categories, helicopters and airports and the commercial and safety impact of unmanned aerial vehicles. It also saw presentation of the Australian Helicopter Industry Association’s inaugural annual industry awards at a gala dinner.
Dramatic growth in demand for the event has prompted organisers to settle on the RICC at the Brisbane Showgrounds as a larger, more easily accessible venue with world class audio visual facilities and integrated conference centre for ROTORTECH 2020.
The exposition will be conducted by Aerospace Australia Limited which is part of a not-for-profit group headed by Aerospace Maritime and Defence Foundation of Australia Limited.
