ROTORTECH 2020 postponed
to 14-16 October 2020

Dear Industry Partner,

After weeks of consultation with our major partners and stakeholders against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving COVID-19 Coronavirus environment, AMDA Foundation has taken the difficult decision to postpone June’s planned ROTORTECH 2020 to 14-16 October 2020.

The preservation of public health will always be our paramount commitment. Although government restrictions on gatherings and travel may be lifted by our original June dates, we have decided to act early and delay ROTORTECH 2020 to October in order to provide clarity for our stakeholders.

This will allow industry to focus on managing through the COVID-19 crisis, with an October ROTORTECH 2020 then bringing the community together as a strong industry recovery event before operators are fully committed to the coming fire season.

We live in a time of unprecedented change. We must accept uncertainty and adapt as we move forward, as naturally no one can predict when COVID-19 will be defeated. However, we at AMDA Foundation are determined to remain positive and resolute.

This is our mission in staging ROTORTECH 2020 as soon as it is safe and feasible to do so, as a platform for the positive engagement that will help position industry for the recovery to come.

More than ever, industry needs a forum like ROTORTECH 2020. It is the region’s premier helicopter and unmanned flight systems showcase and congress, with more than 100 participating companies, a three-day conference program, manufacturers technical workshops, Australian Helicopter Industry Association (AHIA) and Australian Association for Unmanned Systems (AAUS) conferences, and sessions on maintenance, aerial firefighting, airborne law enforcement and heli-mustering.

Along with our principal conference partner, the Australian Helicopter Industry Association Limited, we remain focused on our mission to present ROTORTECH 2020 as a premium platform for the helicopter and unmanned flight community.

As always, we may of course be influenced by circumstances beyond our control as we face these challenging times together. However, we will keep you informed and update our website (www.rotortech.com.au) with any new developments as they arise.

Meanwhile, the AMDA team trusts you and your families are safeguarding your health, and we look forward to celebrating the return of a vibrant industry at ROTORTECH 2020.

Yours sincerely,
